Now this is a great idea in my opinion. First of all - I believe the COSMO is the Crown Jewel of Las Vegas Strip Real Estate. Secondly, the ingress and egress to ARIA, seems like a casino operator's nightmare. Whoever concocted the idea of placing ARIA in the center of CITYCENTER never ran a gaming store - that is for sure. But perhaps MGM/Mirage wanted to create a new venue in culture and entertainment, with gaming just one of its varied elements. The emphasis on green building technology, the arts, and culture that MGM has integrated into CITYCENTER, coupled with the innovative design of the Crystals Shopping, will surely help to boost our city's tourism industry.
COSMO, on the other hand, is built close to the boulevard, with its casino easily accessed. With a good casino manager, killer location, fantastic access, this casino could be the new winner on the strip, and with some good co-marketing, COSMO, ARIA and VDARA could vie for some of the traffic WYNN, Palazzo, Encore, the Fontainebleau and the Venetian will be getting in the more northern section of the strip. I look forward to seeing Bruce Eichner's vision of the Beach Club completed in the east COSMO tower and can't help but think that it could be one of the biggest draws and goldmines on the strip. What promising news for COSMO buyers! Now all we need is available financing for the COSMO Condotels and we may breathe some fresh air into Vegas strip real estate...maybe Deutsche bank will be creative with that as well.

It's just incredible how much Las Vegas has grown. I remember the strip in the 70's. Wait, that is dating me, isn't it? I was just 5!
