The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Resort - Name Trouble

The Las Vegas Review Journal has reported that Hearst Corporation is suing the COSMO for using the name of one of its magazines.   READ THE ARTICLE.

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

With the COSMOPOLITAN in foreclosure, its listing brokerage Prudential Americana Group in bankruptcy reorganization (the brokerage is up & running & operating normally), and now this name lawsuit, let's hope the old superstition that things come in 3's rings true and the next bit of news is good news and bodes well for one of the most spectacular hotel-condos in Las Vegas with one of the most amazing visions for resort living in the heart of the city. This luxury high rise, when  & if complete, will have it all: a stunningly designed hotel, casino, spa, tennis courts, beach club right out on the strip, 300,000 sq. ft. of shopping and rooms with balconies and sweeping views of the new MGM CITYCENTER project and the Bellagio Lake to the north.

Stay tuned - Rumors are flying that Starwood may take over & make COSMO a W and bye bye Hearst lawsuit. Such a hip and trendy design deserves a brand like the W  - The Harmon Corridor will be the place to be in 2009 with CityCenter opening, Planet Hollywood and its great shops, and Panorama Towers already gracing the skyline. I for one, am looking forward to seeing the new Las Vegas...21st century style.
