Despite the supposed decling values in Las Vegas STRIP high rise real estate - I get calls everday from folks wanting to know the status of the COSMOPOLITAN RESORT and the notice of intent to foreclose that was issued by the lender. Rumors of a W Hotel takeover by Starwood can be found on the web, but there really is no real news so far, and I expect that COSMO's fate may be to keep Bruce Eichner's vision in tact. If you drive by the COSMO site, you see a tower in progress with bones that rival any strip high rise and a location second to none, promising views that could very well be unparalleled. The Beach Club Towers bottom floors are in the air & the 400 sq. ft. corner balconies, fronting the strip are what we call "trophy property". Most of my calls are from buyers who want to take possession of their units, not many walk-away buyers here at the COSMO. Stay tuned as the tale unravels...I was told we would know more early summer.
