WIth all the talk of foreign investors wanting to take advantage of the weak dollar and the strong buyer's market, one would think that the inventory in the high rise condo towers on & near the Vegas strip would be absorbed well. What I am finding is that the interest is there but the loans are not. I have buyer's coming in from England & Canada wanting to buy units in these stunning luxury condominium towers, but low and behold, the lenders are now requiring 50% down payments from these folks.
Just a few months ago, these foreign nationals needed just 30% downpayments. Why hasn't the Fed addressed that issue? Why - with the dollar so weak and the time so ripe for foreign nationals to buy, did these loan programs fizzle?
If any lenders out there have a line to more favorable downpayment terms for foreign investors, please contact me. Your services are greatly needed!
